In May 1611 Francis, 2nd Baron Norris of Rycote, donated twenty oaks from Shotover forest to the Bodleian Library. The oaks were used to construct this extension, known as Arts End, to Duke Humfrey's Library. This engraved view of the Library, by David Loggan, was published in Oxonia Ilustrata.
