Indian ink drawing of Rycote Chapel by John Chessell Buckler. By the date of this drawing in 1822, Rycote had ceased to be the primary seat of the Earls of Abingdon. The Chapel vault, however, continued to be used as the final resting place of the Earls and their family throughout the nineteenth century.
